In 2016 I saw Tim Challies 2016 Reading Challenge and thought it looked like fun, so I set out to complete my first intentional reading challenge. You may have seen my monthly updates throughout the first half of the year, they kind of died off towards the end. My goal was the Committed Reader plan, which was 52 books, so one per week. I didn’t end up completing each category, but I did exceed the number of books required (I finished 63!), so I’m calling it a success.
In 2017, I’m joining in the challenge again. Challies has made some updates to the plan to make the categories a bit more flexible, and this year I’m going to really try to expand my reading to include more of the categories he includes.
