We Cannot Be Silent: Speaking Truth to a Culture Redefining Sex, Marriage, and the Very Meaning of Right and Wrong is a defense of the traditional position Christians have held to on sex, marriage, and religious liberty, written as a response to the rapidly shifting trends in our culture. In We Cannot Be Silent, Dr. Mohler provides a high-level look at the history of the sexual revolution.  Dr. Mohler traces the history of the sexual revolution back to demands from heterosexuals couples for no-fault divorce and easy access to birth control.  Before the homosexual agenda ever began, heterosexuals were seeking sexual freedom.  This led to the desires for complete sexual freedom that we are seeing in our culture today. Throughout the book, Dr. Mohler navigates through the tough cultural issues we’re facing today (morality, transgenderism, homosexual union, etc.) very graciously, clearly, and in a way that is faithful to what the Bible teach.  Throughout We Cannot Be Silent, Dr. Mohler asks and answers some incredibly difficult questions, but does so with great openness and care.  Through We Cannot Be Silent, Dr. Mohler provides evangelical Christians with important knowledge on our culture, giving practical guidelines on how we can love the LGBT community without compromising the gospel. We Cannot Be Silent is an excellent book to read if you wish to grow in your understanding of the ethical and sexual revolution happening in our culture today.   I would recommend picking up We Cannot Be Silent if you want to be equipped to understand this world and to live as a Christian in our world today.
